During our lifetime Llyn and I have purchased and sold some six houses in NSW and QLD. After a few unfortunate episodes of attempting to sell several houses through an ‘exclusive agency' arrangement we swore never to do it again and from then on always had at least two agents working in competition with each other to sell our properties. After 20 years of living on acreage, some 10 kilometres from Yeppoon, we found it was getting too difficult to manage our land and decided to sell up and buy a house in Yeppoon. We started attending weekend ‘open days’ of houses for sale in Yeppoon. During a weekend ‘open house’ day we found a house we liked which was being sold by Kerrie Lynch from the Yeppoon Real Estate Agency. We told Kerrie we would buy the house if she could sell our property quickly enough at the right price. Kerrie asked if her Agency could have exclusive selling rights. After considerable discussions Llyn and I decided to trust our instincts that Kerrie would be very good at her job and agreed to go along with the exclusive agency arrangement, despite once having said we would never do it again! Kerrie kept a constant supply of people to view our property.
